Adoption Services
As the best adoption agency in New York, Adoption Choices staff members provide guidance on learning how to adopt a baby, choosing an adoption option or help with a parenting issue. We specialize in open adoption and private adoption and serve all loving families hoping to adopt a child, including gay adoption and lesbian adoption.
Adoption laws in every state require prospective adoptive parents to complete a pre-adoption assessment (Adoption Homestudy) which helps prepare them to adopt and parent. The Homestudy consists of interviews, various documents and paperwork, background clearances, adoptive parent training and a home safety check. It is also a time to answer your questions.
Adoption Choices, Inc. works with expectant and adoptive parents. After the Homestudy (prospective adoptive parents) and Options Counseling (expectant parents) are completed, for those wishing to proceed with adoption, Adoption Choices, Inc. will assist expectant parents and babies to adopt in choosing an adoptive family. They will then guide the relationship between all parties of the adoption. Adoption Choices, Inc. takes pride in tailoring a matching program specific to your needs. We strive to provide individuals and couples with the highest quality of service.
These home visits include interviews with all family members and assess a family’s adjustment after placement. The reports provide feedback on the adoption and are used to recommend finalization of the adoption and needed for finalization. Resources and referrals are also available.
